Ashanti Chapter is the second largest Chapter in terms of growth in CUA. The main aim of the Chapter is to promote vibrant and sustainable Credit Unions to reduce poverty and improve the standard of living in the Ashanti Region and its environs.

It has Ninety-Eight (98) Credit Unions with Ninety-Three (93) active and Five (5) in-active. Seventy-Three (73) of the Credit Unions are fully registered whiles Twenty-Five (25) of the Credit Unions are in the processes of regularizing their affiliation with CUA.

The Credit Unions in the Region are categorized into Parish/Faith, Workplace, and Community type.

The Chapter is led by Mr. Kwame Agyepong, the Regional Manager, with eight (8) Executive Committee members and has Mr. Alexander Obeng-Amoako as the Chairman. Dr. Charles Anane as an Ex-Off

Currently, the Chapter has Fourteen (14) Staff; Ten (10) CUA sponsored staff, and Four (4) staff on the Chapter’s payroll.
