The Eastern Chapter of CUA warmly welcomes you to the Eastern Region, a place full of great prospects. Our aim is to promote and empower Credit Unions within the Chapter by offering members high-quality specialized financial and non-financial services.

There are a total of twenty-four (24) Credit Unions in the Chapter, nineteen (19) of the Societies are affiliated with CUA, with five (5) as Study Groups.

We are proud to have the country’s second-largest Credit Union (Hydro Co-operative Credit Union) in terms of total assets in our Chapter.

The total number of members of the Credit Unions in the Chapter as of September 2022, stood at 29,006 members consisting of twenty-eight thousand, one hundred and fifty-four (28,154) fully registered members, and eight hundred and fifty-two (852) Study Group Members.  

Membership is open to all categories of people who are eligible to transact business by the laws of Ghana. Members of the Credit Unions in the Chapter are mostly workers, parishes, and the general public as a whole.

Currently, the Chapter has six (6) Staff; four CUA-sponsored staff, and two (2) auxiliary staff on the Chapter’s payroll.

Governance
The Eastern Chapter is led by Mr. Andrews Asare as the Chapter Executive Chairman. CUA Manager responsible for the Chapter is Madam Cynthia Ayisi.
