The Accra Chapter remains the largest administrative office of CUA among the eleven Chapters in terms of total number of Societies and their Assets Size. It is the first dominance Chapter among the eleven.  (Ref. 2021 Annual Data/Statistics). The Chapter is made up one hundred and twenty (120) Credit Unions. Eighty-four (84) are affiliated/registered Societies and thirty-six (36) are Study Groups.

It has a total Shareholder base of one hundred and twelve thousand, eight hundred and sixty-two (112,862) shareholders, contributing to a total assets size of six hundred and thirty-nine (639) million Ghana Cedis. The Societies employed a total of three hundred and sixty (360) Ghanaians.

The Chapter has a total staff strength of ten (10), headed by Mr. Daniel H. Kofi, as the Regional Manager.

The Chapter provides the following functions on behalf of CUA Management:

1. Promotion of Credit Unions and Credit Unions’ advocacy
2. Monitoring and Supervision

• Accounting and Audit Support Services

1. Provision of training and other technical support services
2. Acts as an intermediary between Societies at the Chapter level and CUA Management

As a creation of CUA, the Chapter is identified with the Vision, Mission and Values of CUA.
