Solomon Owusu Nyarko is the Deputy General Manager (2) – Development Services, Audit, Supervision.

He is an astute professional with diverse expertise in Banking and Credit Union Operations and Management, such as Credit Union Policy formulation and management; Financial Analysis and Interpretation; Supervision; Training; Risk Finance Management, Auditing and Management Information System (MIS) related.

With over sixteen (16) years’ experience, thirteen (13) years’ experience in Credit Union operations and sound strategic management trainings since 2008, Solomon is a driven professional with excellent leadership and solid understanding of firm business operations. He was the Deputy General Manager in-charge of Operations for the Ghana Co-operative Credit Unions Association (CUA) where he managed the Audit, Supervision, MIS, Youths Savings Programme, Deposits Guarantee Scheme and Training arms of CUA. Prior to his that appointment, Solomon was the Supervisory Manager for Operations – CUA for seven (7) years. He previously served as the Manager for the Central Finance Facility for four (4) years; positions he held competently.

Solomon has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Finance from Universidad Empresarial in Costa Rica. He has a master’s degree in business administration (Finance option), a first degree in Accounting and a Higher National Diploma (Accounting option). He is also a Co-operative Development Educator.

Solomon Owusu Nyarko is a proactive individual with problem-solving abilities. He is passionate about using indigenous solutions like formation of local businesses to solve world’s problems such as poverty. He thrives on nurturing small and struggling credit unions through capacity building, adopting simplified and easy-to-use software, streamlining policies and procedures, etc. to boost the operations of Credit Unions and other businesses, and desires to see the Credit Union Industry as the preferred choice of tailor-made banking and other financial solutions by all category of people.
