Dr. Johnson Wotu is the Deputy General Manager (1) – Admin, HR, Financial Service & Accounts and CUTraC. He is responsible for overseeing the administration, human resource, operations of the Risk Management Programme, Central Finance Facility, the Co-operative Credit Unions Pension Plan of CUA and the Credit Unions Training Centre (CUTrac).

Dr. Wotu attained his Ph.D. in Finance with the Business University of Costa Rica. He holds a Master of Commerce (Mcom) in Microfinance from the Pentecost University – Ghana and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nigeria (NSUKKA).

From the Ghana Insurance College, He obtained a Diploma in Insurance Practice in 2011. Dr. Wotu has attended many seminars and management courses both local and foreign, earning him various certificates.

Dr. Wotu got certified as an African Development Educator (ADE) of the African Confederation of Co-operative Savings and Credit Associations (ACCOSCA) in May 2018, and an International Credit Union Development Educator (ICUDE) by the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) in November 2018.

He is vested in finance and insurance, more so, in Credit Unions’ operations and practice. To further consolidate his knowledge in investment banking, he pursued a course in securities with the Ghana Stock Exchange.

Prior to joining CUA Ltd. in 2008, Johnson had worked with some multi-nationals like SEEPC Nigeria Ltd. and Barclays Bank Ghana Ltd. where he rose to become Accounts Supervisor – a middle management staff.

Throughout his career, Dr. Wotu has demonstrated continuous leadership in business excellence, technical skills, and project execution. He served as the Board Chairman of the KAMCCU Co-operative Credit Union in the Accra Chapter of CUA from 2014 to 2018.

He is married to Mavis with whom he has two boys: Gabriel and Parry. Mr. Wotu is a Christian and fellowship with the Living Faith Bible Church International, Accra Ghana.
